Adjusted Individual Score

Nursing Students TEAS

Published

I just have a quick question. I am studying for the TEAS, and I have been taking practice tests. I score each section with a percentage, but I wanted to know how to find out my overall percentage for each test I take. Is there a way to do this? I tried adding the percentages and dividing by 4 for an average, but it didn't work. Thanks in advance!

Each section is weighted with a different percentage, so that may be why you aren't getting the correct final amount.

English and Science are both worth 30% of the TEAS each and Reading and Math are worth 20% of the TEAS each.

You have to calculate each section separately with their corresponding percentages first.

Hope this helps!

Are you sure that's not how your school scores it? My school weighted each section differently like that. The thing with the TEAS is your are really never going to be able to score it yourself. The test itself has test questions that don't count and you have no idea which ones they are. You can't just divide by four because you don't know what the test questions are. But when I took my practice tests in my book I just got a round about figure. I think on my practice tests I was scoring myself at around an 84-86 and I ended up with a 78 on the actual test. Which a 78 is a good score. Just as long as you are getting the gist of it I wouldn't worry about the adjusted individual score. It's a mystery as to how they score it and that is the way they want it.
