I am an independent contract nurse assessor & I work with LifePlans and LTS. I am looking to get more work. Does anyone know of any other companies that offer this kind of work?

I think aetna is a company that I seen other nurses working for as a nurse assessor. How do you like being a independent nurse assessor? I'm looking to get into this line of work as well. How is the pay?
Great! I really like having control over my time. But you don't make a lot of money because there are times when the jobs are few and far in between. There is a of driving involved, especially with Life Plans whose clients are spread out all over the state. I also enjoy meeting new people and visiting with them in their homes.

I had an NP contractor for Anthem (BCBS) come by to do an assessment. Of course we talked about her job and if I remember right, she got $150 per assessment. Good money!

Hi, I just got offered a Assessor position, I have some questions I would like to ask you if you don't mind. Can you please email me my email is [email protected] Thanks
Hi, I'm not sure who you want to write you (probably the OP - original poster) but I have some friendly suggestions.
One is don't post email addresses on any forum. You are guaranteed more junk email. The internet is full of web crawling bots (robots) that harvest email addresses from any open site just for spammers.
Two is just post your question! The OP may or may not respond, but you may get good or better answers from others who certainly will not respond without a question. This also benefits later readers who want the same question answered.
Three, if you must speak privately to a specific person, click on their name and send a PM (private message). That is a bit awkward here on Allnurses as they require 15 posts before you can do that and I see you have only three posts. It is not clear to me if you can receive PMs without having 15 posts, but I would try posting a request for a PM before posting your email address publicly.
Allnurses undoubtably has these policies in place to make it harder for a spammer to sign up and immediately start sending PMs until proven to be a legitimate poster. But it leads some new posters to quickly make 15 innocuous posts to gain the ability to PM. But really, the value of a forum such as this is crowdsourcing knowledge publicly. If the OP had not posted publicly, you wouldn't even have this opportunity. I've perhaps sent only three PMs in eleven years that were not replies to others messaging me. Most of my replies were to tell the sender to post their excellent question on the forum for the benefit of all.
