Addiction issues

Im a RN in Pennsylvania that was in their VRP program for allmost a year. Unfortunately I relapsed, failed a urine and lost my job and very shortly will be losing my license for probaly 3 years. Im devastated. Not only do I have this addiction problem but nursing is the only job I truly loved, when sober. Any suggestions for employment other than being an Rn will be helpfull. I think about CNA work but so far it has depressed me greatly to think about going back to that work. I guess this is something I will have to overcome but it is just so hard. And then I wonder if I will ever be able to get my license back in 3 years and then find work. Please, any help with the NJ topic, or finding another job that can utilize my A.D.RN and finally with shame and depression over ruining my career and life would be appreciated. Sorry if this too much for one post

I recently had to leave nursing after 16yrs. I am currently working in a factory (thats just the consequences of my actions). I am also back in college full time. All my pre-reqs from nursing school have allowed me to go into the paralegal program and be able to finish in a year. I hope to work for a lawfirm that handles medical malpractice, personal injury, workers comp, etc... This way I can still use my nursing background without being in a clinical setting. Its a growing field and pays well. Theres always a better tomorrow....if you fight for it.!!
