acyclovir

So how many cycles can you keep giving? When cold sores keep reappearing after being off of it for a week, just keep giving it? They are so painful for my cancer patient! nothing else has helped L-lysin, abreva, we tried everything in the book. His poor lips!

Acyclovir is hard on the renal function, but if it makes him feel better then can I keep getting the order for another round of it?

    I sometimes get herpetic lesions in my mouth after chemo. Viscous Lidocaine helps me to control the pain so that I can eat and drink.

    I also learned today that there is a maintenance dose for herpes, a person can take a maintenance dose for a year for cold sores.
