Does anyone recommend online ACLS certification? If so, where is a good place to start?

My facility will not accept an online ACLS certification because they want you to participate in a hands-on mega-code.

You can take online ACLS training that is certified by the AHA, but you have to go to a training center to pass the mega code with an instructor.
I did it last year when I forgot to re-new my ACLS. I don't remember the details, I probably just Googled it. I really enjoyed the on-line presentation. I think it was kind of expensive?

If you're going to do online ACLS, you should ask your facility or potential employers exactly what ACLS training certificates they recognize. If they do not recognize any online certificates, I would recommend doing the AHA online course. With that program, you do all your studying at home, at your own pace. You then schedule a skills verification locally and if you pass, you get an identical ACLS card as someone that went through the traditional program. Here's the thing: it is a bit more expensive because you pay separately (I think) for both portions of the program and the total cost is usually a little higher than the traditional program.
I usually do the in-person courses because they're a little cheaper and I usually get as much out of the course through discussion in the classroom as I do from the material itself. Finding time to actually do the in-person ACLS course, given my work schedule can be a bit interesting though.
