It's time for me to re-certify for ACLS again. I was wondering if anyone has ever certified online. There is a website that offers re-certification through the American Medical Resource Group. My mom recertified this way in Texas, but it was a hospital approved thing. She got her card after completing the test. I was thinking about doing this and was wondering if it is a hoax, or for real. It's a little pricey so I figured I would come here and see if anyone had any input or experience with it. Also, do the cards come from AHA? Are cards acceptable from some place other than AHA? If you all could help I would appreciate it!
Thanks!

It is real, but watch out... Most facilities will not accept it because it is not AHA, and has no hands on practice like you get with simulated codes in class. I would not waste money on it at all. Go to a class, much better and you are sure to get what you need.

What does her card look like compared to an AHA card? See if they will email or fax you a sample card as well.
Rj:rolleyes:

Thanks for your input! I am just going to recertify the old fashioned way!
