I am over the top excited that I got an 90.0% on my TEAS exam. Although this still might not guarantee a position for the nursing school I am applying to, I'm psyched.
Section scores:
Reading 88%
Math 96%
Science 88%
English 88%
So, if anyone has any questions I'd be happy to answer. Also because I realized that a lot of students that took the test with me were so nervous, and with good reason...most didn't study properly or even taken practice tests so they didn't know what to expect at all (we conversed while we were waiting).
I have to say that the Reading section was worst. Although you should be sure to review the material in the ATI manual, just take a few practice tests or a set of passages in one sitting to get a feel for what its like. Lots of reading and I almost ran out of time on that section.
The Math section was not that bad and as long as you have a grasp on the topics presented in the manual you should do fine. Some are tricky word questions so resist temptation to get lazy on those.
Science is the hardest in the sense that it covers a wide range of topics, so what helped me the most is going over my textbook from Anatomy 1 & 2 as well as Biology. This is the biggest piece of advice I can give...keep your science textbooks and use them to review, because otherwise you probably won't fully grasp concepts since the manual only briefly covers everything, and other sources might explain things differently or with different terminology. Ultimately its up to you though.
The English section wasn't too bad either.... review the concepts in the manual, correct grammar and punctuation, subject-verb agreement and so on.
The practice tests also helped a ton....nothing else will give you a better feel for the actual test.
