This Is Important. I Was Told 5 Or 6 To 1 At Lee's Cape Coral Hospital On Pcu, With Drips. We Had 8-1 (staffed That Way) And One Pca For The Floor, I Think 28 Pts. The Person Giving The Pbds Test Is An Educator Nurse With A Master's But Wouldn't Know Which End To Place The Bedpan. If You Don't Pass Don't Worry About Getting Let Go, They Are Too Despirate For A Warm Body This Time Of Year, Especially If It's Cape Coral Or Lee Memorial Pcu Floor. It's Been About 2 Years Since I Was There, My Assignment From Hell.

Is this Lee as in Lee County Florida..Fort Myers, Florida? I am interested in going to Fort Myers at some point. YUP, IT'S IN FLORIDA. COLD IN INDY YOU SAY? MY BABY GIRL JUST GOT ACCEPTED TO PURDUE, FOR CHEMISTRY NOT NURSING! IT SEEMS LIKE YESTERDAY I WAS CHANGING HER DIAPERS. JUST SO YOU KNOW, THERE'S LOTS OF POLITICS AT EVERY HOSPITAL. THAT'S WHY I TRAVEL. IF HOSPITALS TREATED NURSES RIGHT, I WOULD BE OUT OF A JOB!

Do beware that if you don't pass the PBDS, they WILL CANCEL your contract! I was scheduled to start there a few months ago and didn't pass the PBDS at their hospital but took the same PBDS 2 weeks later at another hospital and passed. And if you accept the contract and don't pass the PBDS, you are responsible for any housing costs incurred by your company....they will either make you take another contract somewhere else within 2 weeks or charge you directly for their housing option. And beware of floating and very often!

I'm still here in Cape Coral Hospital. Extended for 13 more weeks. So, it means it's not too bad here. We get floated to a pcu unit and medical unit last month like once a week. That's about it. We have up to 7 pts.

I'll be here until last week of August. I don't know where to go next. TX or FL. Any suggestions?
