I am on the waiting list for nursing school(which is NLN accred) but the waitlist is 2-3yrs.All the major univ. i have looked at have no waitlist but all the programs that major univ. are not NLN but are Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education acceredited. Is this acceptable?? I want to travel after I am done with my program... I want to have all the right accred. and have no problems recip licenses...

I'm not familiar with that one. Really, the only way you can be sure of something like that (whether the accreditation is what you want) is to check with your State BON and see what they say. If grads from schools with that particular accreditation are accepted for licensure, there's your answer.

As for whether you can receive endorsements from other States, it's up to each State to approve or disapprove, based on its current requirements. You'd need to contact each State BON to find out.

Just as an FYI for the back of your mind for much later, what you seek for travel nursing isn't license reciprocity, it's an endorsement from a different State to your current license. The only thing with reciprocity is your successful passing of the NCLEX exam. After that, it's up to each State to determine whether or not you can get an endorsement on your license to work there.
