Accepted into the LPN program in NJ

Hey everyone! I wrote a post a while back about being accepted into the LPN program here in NJ, but can't find my post. I was accepted in November 2014, and start this September, 2015. I am beyond excited to start. Anyone else starting around that time as well? Would be nice to talk to others going through the same thing as me :). Congrats to all of you who were accepted as well, and those who weren't... keep trying - you will get there! :)

Really? Oh I really want it! I can't wait. I did finish most of my pre-nursing classes towards the ADN program, which I plan to continue and get my RN, might as well w/ all the classes I already taken. How is it? You still job searching? I'm so excited for it all.

Congrats!!! I'm starting my program 3/9, and am nervous as all heck! Lol. We have mandatory orientation on 3/4 and it's just going to be a lot!

I actually have my interview with the director of the nursing program tomorrow for final acceptance. Which involves an essay, and like 8 essay questions!

Sorry to babble lol

Omg! I hope I don't need to do a final acceptable essay! Lol. Now I'm terrified haha. Wish you all the luck with that, and keep me updated!

I still have 6 months until the program starts. I'm waiting for the interview w/ the nursing faculty, which should be in the next few months. I can't wait to get sized for my scrubs and stuff. Lol

Well, I spent all night writing out my answers. Good grief! I had questions like what do I think a vocational nurse does, how do I handle interpersonal conflict, and what would 3-4 people say about me and what would they think I need improvement on.

I have my interview in 30 minutes! I'm nervous lol.

Omg! I hope it went great, and I'm sure it did. Let me know, so I know what to expect. I am so nervous... the whole process of getting in seems like it takes forever. As if the entrance exam wasn't enough. Lol.

It was seriously the easiest thing ever! She asked me some basic questions, what's my long term goal, what do I want to do with my license, do I understand the time commitment, what prior knowledge do I have, is my family aware of my commitments, etc. She actually really liked me!

I think you should just be yourself. Be comfortable, and go with their speed if that makes sense. :) That's all I did and she kept telling me how nice it was to talk to someone who had an idea of what they were getting into. Good luck with yours!

I can't wait! And I'm happy to hear it was pretty easy :). I'm just waiting for the call from the school to set up an appointment. I am guessing it'll be a while before they call, being I don't start until September. Honestly, I just can't wait to start this already. I am so excited. You are so lucky that you start next week. I bet you are so excited... and nervous. Lol. I heard this program is very hard, as I expected anyway. I did most of my pre-nursing classes for the RN program - A&P1, A&P2, Chemistry... etc... and I thought those were hard, so I can't imagine this! Lol Keep me updated on how it goes the first week. I got a little while longer.... stinks. Lol

Hi PennyMT, I will also be starting nursing school in September 2015, in NJ. I recently had my financial aid meeting. I was just wondering where you are in the process?

Hey Layne87! I apologize for a late response, things been crazy busy around here. I start the Sept in OCVTS. So far I passed Teas, finished criminal background and drug screening. I met up with Financial Aid and all is set. I have interview April 13th. Where are you in the process as well? What school are you going to? Aren't you so excited?!
