I am thinking of getting an accelerated nursing degree from University of Arizona. I already have a B.S. degree in education. Does anyone have any advice about this program, since I have no experience in nursing?? Should I volunteer at a hospital?

I don't know anything about the program but would think it should be a good one.
I'm in the same boat in Phx, BS degree and would prefer an accelerated program. Unfortunately none exist at ASU. They have an accelerated RN-BSN, etc but nothing if you are new to the nursing profession.

ASU is now offering an accelerated BSN through ASU East. It has all the same pre-reqs as the generic BSN, but it is in a compacted format. They are going to be accepting students for this program every January.

I'm in the Accelerated BSN program at the U of A. you can pm me.
One thing about AccBSN programs is that in the first year there are a lot of kinks (this is a common remark from people in the first year of an Accelerated program)...since the U of A program will be going into its second year they will have worked out more of these issues than ASU.
Although I know it's out there, the ASU East web site doesn't mention a nursng program at all.
