Accelerated BSN

I'm getting ready to apply to some accelerated BSN programs around Omaha NE. I'm looking into 2 programs, Creighton University and Nebraska Methodist College. I have all the prerequisites that overlap between both programs with a gpa of 2.8. Has anyone gotten in with a 2.8 gpa? I saw that Creighton requires a 3.0 and Methodist is a 2.75.

A school's required GPA is the minimum they will accept. Usually the cohort accepted has GPAs higher than the minimum, particularly in accelerated programs where one needs to have proven success in academics in order to keep up with the pace of the program. Check to see what the average accepted GPA of the programs is. It may be much higher than the minimum required. Unless you have outstanding scores in other areas of the application (GRE, work history, amazing personal statment and letters of rec) your GPA needs to be closer to the average GPA, not the minimum.
