Accelerated BSN Programs

Hi,

Does anyone have any advice or information about any accelerated BSN programs? Are there hugh waiting lists? Is it hard to get accepted?

I am currently finishing up my pre-req's and should be done in December '06. It just seems like every school is different in when to apply, different pre-req's etc. I would really appreciated some feedback if possible!

Thanks,

SW

I'm also interested in any info. My sister is thinking of applying into an accelerated program. She graduates this spring in health information management but would like to go into nursing someday. For those of you who went into those programs, what was it like for you? Thanks

I know of one online with clinicals done in your area (if you live in an approved state). Their web address is: http://www.uwosh.edu/colleges/con/accelerated.php

Good luck.

Well, it would depend on where you are located...location has a LOT to do with how long someone will wait... It also depends on the school. I would check out NLN's webpage and see what states offer them. Then go check out their sites. I personally have applied to an accelerated ASN program(b/c I have a prior degree) This is only 10 months. There is another BSN accelerated in the area, but I would rather get my ASN first, then have a hospital hopefully pay to have me get my BSN. Accelerated BSN programs are becoming increasingly popular and I am sure will become hard to get into if they already aren't. GL and pm me if you would like!!!!

Hi all!!

i just had an interview for south dakota state university's accelerated BSN. It went fine so i am keeping high hope for it. Did anyone apply for the same program???
