Accelerated Bsn Programs In New England?

I am looking to get into an accelerated BSN program for start of Fall 2006. I know Simmons and USM have one.....does anyone know where i can get a complete listing of all accelerated bsn programs? I live in NH....so looking as close to NH as possible. Thx.

Hi

There is an accelerated bsn program at UTMB in Texas, just in case you move to Galveston or Houston.

God bless

If you are willing to relocate, try neighboring states. Discovernursing.com

I'm in NH, too. There is an accelerated BSN program at the University of Southern Maine, but it starts in May and the application deadline was Nov. 1. UNH has a direct-entry masters in clinical nurse leadership, but the next round you could apply for starts in January 2007. I really wish they offered an accelerated BSN there as well. We don't have enough of those programs around here, seems like even all the stuff is Boston is direct-entry MSNs.

I agree that this stinks!!! There are so many direct entry MSNs and hardly any BSNs. I'm hoping to apply to UMASS Amherst. I'm going to have to relocate to do it.

I'm in the same boat - looking at UNH because it's the only thing available in NH, and even that will mean a 1.5 hour commute for me. Wish I could relocate, but I just got married this year and my husband can't really leave NH without risking the loss of a pension (he's a cop). The higher education system really needs to step up to the plate if this nursing shortage is going to be addressed.

Wondergirl -- Wow, my husband is a wanna be cop. ;) He's actual on an interview right now for an AWOL apprehension officer for the Dept of Youth Services (he's already a case worker there). We have a daughter and own a home and today my feeling about the whole thing is that I am just crazy. Why can't I be happy with my well-paying, part-time engineering job? ;) This morning I was leaning toward BSN all the way, this afternoon I'm feelin' the ADN love. If I get in, that is! Hopefully I will find out soon if I got in for early decision.
