Accelerated BSN + MPH?

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hi,

I have an undergraduate degree and am taking prerequisites for accelerated nursing programs. I have seen several programs out there that are two years long - students get their BSN the first year and then a Masters degree in the second (schools seem to have a variety of masters degree options).

I am specifically interested in doing one of these two-year programs that would allow me to get an Masters of Public Health (ideally, one with an international focus) during the second year, but I haven't been able to find a program quite like that, thus far.

Is anyone aware of such a program?

I live in the northwest but would be willing to travel pretty much anywhere for school. Cost is an issue, but I'm willing to take out loans.

Any info would be much appreciated!

Thanks, rebecca

I am pretty sure that Johns Hopkins U does this.

Thanks for the info. I looked at the Johns Hopkins website and have requested more information from the school. They list the program as a BSN/MSN/MPH - which is a little confusing. Do I have to get a masters of science in nursing too or is it a combined masters?

Has anyone done that program?

Does anyone know of other programs that combine accelerated BSN and Masters of Public Health (or a similar combination)?

Thank you! Rebecca
