ACC Nursing Program spring 2013 start

Hey there, I am going crazy waiting also. So I am hoping that means she has not sent the letters out yet. There are prior posts for last semester Fall 2012 that say the letters can out fast so that makes me nervous. Good Luck. I will let you know if I get a letter.

really? the application cycle ends on the 24th so how can you get the acceptance letter already....on the application status it says that letters won't be sent out til october....

I also got mine on the 23rd! I can't wait to start!

if you don't mind me asking...for those that got accepted what was your ranking gpa?

I will be applying in July for the spring , January '14 start date. Do you have any tips as far as what i could do to enhance my application? Thank you and congratulations on your accceptance!

I would recommend buying the Hesi book (for the exam) and practicing the problems in every section. You have the opportunity to take the HESI twice; just be careful because you will only be able to take it twice within one year. They take a few things into consideration: GPA, health care experience, and of course, the HESI. If you have CNA experience, the chances for you are even greater. I don't have CNA experience however, I did pretty well on the exam and have a good GPA. If you go to the Nursing Information session, they will provide you with a list of "scores" of the people who made it the prior year. GPA, experience, and exam scores all end up in a cumulative "scoring system" or "point system". After you take the exam you can look at your scores and compare those with the ones who made it. You don't know how may points they'll give you for experience, but you will know the points you earn after you take the exam and calculate your GPA. I hope this all makes sense. Good luck to you. "YourHub Contributor LITTLETON, Colo. - Arapahoe Community College’s nursing program is ranked first in three separate jurisdictions for National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) results from Oct. 2011 - Mar. 2012, as announced in a report published by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN).

Among Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) programs in the College’s jurisdiction, ACC ranked first out of 18 schools. For all similar ADN programs across every jurisdiction in the United States, ACC ranked first out of 614 institutions. For all BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) and ADN programs across every jurisdiction in the country, Arapahoe Community College was ranked atop a list of 1,035 schools.

The rankings are based on the percentage of a school’s graduates passing the NCLEX-RN examination compared to other programs with at least 10 graduates who took the exam during the same reporting period. All nursing programs with the same percentage of graduates passing the NCLEX-RN examination received the same ranking.
