being abused by clients

i am working with an agency and has been physically abused by clients relative what would be my course of action to take if this occurs in the future and if anyone knows teh procedure to become a provider please ler me know how

Call the police. File assault charges. Refuse the assignment. That is and should be your course of action. Physical abuse is absolutely not acceptable and you should not remain in an environment where you are subjected to such treatment.

As far as becoming a provider, what do you mean? Nurse practitioner? Doctor? You need to follow the appropriate educational coursework to become a higher-level provider. There is no magic button.

immediately call the police, remove yourself from

the situation (may have to do this first)

call your supervisor

and do not go back there, so there's

no chance of this happening again

Yes to all of the above. I vaguely remember being taught that it's a felony to attack/harm a nurse while she's on duty.

As a nurse it is your job to report any abuse inside or outside the work fileld
