Hey all :) I have a couple questions about the application process at Tri-C, if anyone's been through it already...
I'm finishing up my last prereq (A&P 1) at LCCC this Spring, but the earliest I'd be able to start LCCC's ADN program would be Spring 2017. If I apply in May when my prereqs are done, do I have a prayer at being able to start Tri-C's generic track nursing program in the Fall? Do they allow you to start the application process before the end of the last semester of your prereqs?
I know Tri-C also has an Accelerated ADN that only starts in the Fall...but I'd need to complete A&P 2 over the Summer in order to have it done before Fall 2016.
This is my situation - I have a BS in Chemistry and I'm making a mid-life career change. The idea of waiting an entire year before being able to even start the program is very discouraging.
(BTW, I know I won't qualify for financial aid - so the area ABSN programs are likely not a possibility for me.)
I've reached out to Tri-C to ask about this but haven't been able to get any help - I was told to complete the Tri-C application before counseling would look at me. I was also hoping to get some context from some of the folks who've lived through this just because I don't really want to go through the effort of applying and sending transcripts to Tri-C if it's not even plausible that I'd be able to start in the Fall.
Thanks for your feedback! :)
