AANAC?

I was wondering if anyone here had insight to this organization? Good or Bad info, it doesn't matter.

I found it online and saw they have a MDS Certification program (RAC-CT) for those members that complete their program. Of course my question is: Is it worth it? Will jobs recognize that & take it into account when they hire me? Since I'm currently unemployed, and have extra time on my hands, I was thinking about checking into it, if it will be helpful to me. :D Thanks in advance for any information. Tara

Yes. I just resigned from a 10 month MDS position.

Having AANAC certification will definitely get you hired..

I think it's definately a plus to be AANAC Certified.

Some of the Long Term Care Corporations pay for the AANAC Certification.

Go the the AANAC Website & look up the LTC Corporate Sponsors......:)

I joined and received my RAC-CT from them. Its well worth your $ and tax-deductible if you're working. They have great weekly bulletins online with everything from MDS questions to the financial aspects to Quality measures. Do investigate a course either in person or online from them.
