Hi, I plan on taking the HESI A2 this summer after I have completed A&P I and A&P II. I heard the Evolve review book isnt good for A&P/Science review because it's so broad. Which book should I order in addition to this/what should I study? Any other HESI science tips? Thank you.

Hey there! Yeah I wouldn't bother with the Evolve review book I used it to study and only got a 64 on the test! It does not go into enough detail. I am taking the test for a second time on February 1st.
When I took the test before, questions about what glands are secreted by what hormone, egg fertalization ( where does it occur), layers of the skin, heart and what arteries carry blood away and to, also the valves of the heart, examples of joins ( ex ball and socket is shoulder), also study the different body systems. If you need more information feel free to message me, or reply on here. I used a cliff notes study guide and also my A&P book from lecture.

The book really helped me with vocab & grammar the only word i remember not being in the book was hierarchy of needs
Chemistry wasn't bad but I didn't do great.. Study the different type of solutions like emulsion and suspension.. I missed questions I never should of missed ..
Biology: had random questions about Human DNA Viruses.
Several human DNA viruses have been linked to cancer. The most compelling evidence implicates the following viruses:
• Human papillomaviruses
• Epstein-Barr virus
• Hepatitis B virus
• Human T-cell lymphoma/leukemia virus 1
..
A&P
Study: the hormones, & the nerves
Math: was the easiest
STUDY RATIOS !! I felt like every other question was a ratio question
Reading: was just time consuming make sure you read the entire passage before answering the questions

Hi, I'm taking my HESI this February. I'm so worried about the A&P part. Are you guys reviewing what's in the review book only? Or you also read the textbook and get more into details?

I recommend the HESI app for your phone, I used it and some of the questions on the test were exactly the same questions from the app. (and yes I was shocked to see the same questions)
Re: ratios .. It was really basic and strait forward ..
