A & P 2 Lab question?

i iwsh i could tell you.. i took it 3 years ago from mary jo wilson .. i loved her.. good luck... who are you taking it from?? i bet they change the lab questions frequently...are you going into the RN program?

Kizzy, I'm taking it w/ Prof Hicks! I took him for 223 and 224(re-doing it) I heard Wilson was good too. I will just have to try and study everything and hope I get it together..LOL! Thanks for the input..I am trying to get into the Nursing program. Hope to do it soon!

i don't know prof hicks.. ooh good luck .. you will be fine.. i graduated from the RN program in may and now a RN .. keep me updated... yes mary jo wilson is wonderful and her lectures are very interesting...

i am starting A & P 224 again because of personal issues from two semesters ago. I know in the 1st Lab we have a test on the ANS, I cannot for the life of me remember what the questions consist of. I don't want the answers, but maybe just an Idea what I should study. I remember questions of the Parasympathetic and Sympathetic reactions to stuff and the Norephrine? It's been awhile. Can't remembr if there was a question about the frog video...Does anyone remember?

I took it last semester. I think you pretty much know what to study for already. LOL, okay I am looking at my actual quiz answers, but I don't remember the questions but my answers look like they consist of questions like, what response is this...ie parasympathetic/sympathetic, what are the effects of acetylcholine, epinephrine & norepinephrine and I also have one answer that I put "smooth cardiac muscle" if that tells you anything, because it doesn't tell me much!

I did find a study sheet I used for that first lab though and it looks like this:

(name for both Parasympathetic & Sympathetic)

1. Terminal Transmitter Substance used at effector

2. Receptors Present

3. Length of Preganglionic Fibers

4. Length of Postganglionic Fibers

5. Resulting effect (generalized or localized)

6. Region in which neurons arise

7. General Action

8. Location of control centers in the brain

9. Types & Location of ganglia

10. Number of postganglionic neurons stimulated simultaneously by preganglionic neurons

If you can answer those for both, I think you will do okay. I used that and missed one answer on that first lab only due to a typo!
