A.A. is Pre-Nursing?

Published

Has anyone else taken this path? Getting an associate in arts degree (AA.) in pre-nursing and then gone on to a upper division bachelor program? Was this an easy/the right route to go? I am asking because a recently been awarded a full scholarship and books for A.A. in Pre-Nursing and am wondering if I should accept. I am 100% going into nursing but wondering if I should just do my pre-reqs first or this AA degree.

Won't this A.A. program get your prereqs done anyway?

That is what I did although there is no official "A.A. pre-nursing" I just got an A.A. in University Studies mostly because I wanted to apply for my BSN and ASN at the same time to up my chances of getting into a program and I did not want to have a huge gap on my resume without having the degree for justification (I took a year off to focus on my pre-requ's and only worked on school breaks)

Yes it would get my pre-reqs done. But also ones that I do not need. This semester I am signed up for 16 credits in school and 2 online classes. eek. I only work 1 day a week though. (sometimes 2)
