Hello Everybody

This is the first time am writing here and am excited!!!!!!!!! So my question is right now am unemployed but going to school next year to get my LPN certificate at Laguardia Community College since I've been looking for work I got called to Home Health Aide which i know will give me a bit of stepping stone into my nursing career. But am worrying because my husband is the only one working and i want to help him asap but i also apply to work in retail part time. Should I stick it out and do the home health aide or if i get hired for retail work there until i get my LPN Cert. And there is no CNA classes for free till January. Plus am trying to be flexible because i pick up our baby after school???. Please advice would be super helpful

I think I understand where you are coming from because I'm sort of in the same boat being that my husband is paying all of the bills right now. You should do what your heart is telling you to do. The only "financial advice" I can give you if you are serious about school is to downsize. And what I mean is if you have all of the cable channels downsize. If you have to eat out 3 or 4 times a week downsize. If you have a the highest plans on your cell phone or internet or you have a to get your hair or nails professionally done, have a shoe or clothes fetish, all have to put on hold until times get better for you and your family. You can also check with social services for family assistant programs like food stamps and help with light bill etc.... You really have to make the sacrifice if you are serious about your future but you can not go against your husband so make sure you talk with him about this too. I hope that I've helped a little. Good luck to you.:)
