Thank u so much ladies for ur encouraging words I had doubts before because of my gpa but now am super determined and I am going to do it. As long as I have my drive I know this will happen. Also I will afford the cna which I want to take before I stayed Lehman college

goddess9 I was going through a lot of personal problems with over working and not doing good in school. Reason why now that the roles have switch I could put my everything in school. Once am on currently campus first step i will definitely see an advisor and see how the transferring credits will go about and gpa.

But am open to suggestions

For Lehman College these are the classes that i have to take CHE 114: Essentials of General Chemistry,CHE 115: Essentials of General Chemistry, lab, CHE 120: Essentials of Organic Chemistry, CHE 121: Essentials of Organic Chemistry, lab,BIO 181: Anatomy and Physiology I, BIO 182: Anatomy and Physiology II, BIO 230: Microbiology. What I will do is take 2 classes at a time. Also make sure i have tutor so i could stay on top of that. as well i was thinking of get my cna certificate next year so it gives me a tipping toe in the health field. I know the duties between an rn and cna is different but i heard its a good start. Since am not the bread winner anymore i could focus on my studies.

Currently situation: Am going back to school this fall at bronx community college to finish up my degree in liberal arts/human service i only have 4 classes left but am on Academic probation so am only allowed to take 2 classes at a time. So my spring 2015 i should graduate but my gpa will be around 2.0-2.4. My concern is that i have been wanting to do the Nursing program for like 2 years but never got the chance because of my horrible grades and situation. But since i will be graduating with my associate degree i want to give it i shot for a bachelor degree in nursing. When am ready to apply for a 4 year school like Lehman College to get into the nursing program i know you are suppose to to have a high gpa on the sciences courses and high grade on the HESI exam. But to be honest since i will be coming in with a low gpa should i give it shot definitely will put in study time to get the A's and a high score on the HESI. But am i kidding myself of getting into the program and should look else where or just go for it.

I am having issue w my school and I won't be going till the summer time so I was thinking during the spring time I would do the CNA class. Is it a wise choice to do cna first before getting into the nursing program?!

So I wanted to know if there were in teas v prep classes in New York City I have this time to study and want to make sure I pass. I bought the book but having another person tutor will also be helpful. Any info will be very Appreciate it. Thank u

I wanted to know which Cuny school is great for the BSN program and less Complicated to go in too?!!?!

Is it wise to take a&p 2 in the summer time or just take it in the regular semester?!

So I have been going back and forth about becoming a nurse. Reason why I don't want to go for something and fail in the end which will be waste of time and financial aid that could of been for something else. But my other issue is that am bad in math and science but I have the drive to become a nurse I have no shame to go to a tutor and put the time to make sure I get an A in my classes. So will my drive and passion be good enough up get me through it or should look for another major ?????

Hello Everybody This is the first time am writing here and am excited!!!!!!!!! So my question is right now am unemployed but going to school next year to get my LPN certificate at Laguardia Community College since I've been looking for work I got called to Home Health Aide which i know will give me a bit of stepping stone into my nursing career. But am worrying because my husband is the only one working and i want to help him asap but i also apply to work in retail part time. Should I stick it out and do the home health aide or if i get hired for retail work there until i get my LPN Cert. And there is no CNA classes for free till January. Plus am trying to be flexible because i pick up our baby after school???. Please advice would be super helpful
