Should I go for it? or is it not worth it

Hello All

I am currently finishing my first year of NP school…I am doing well and have a 4.0. I stopped working couple of months ago but I feel I do have a lot of free time in my hands….

My clinicals start in August so I know it's going to get tougher!

My question is..I have just got hired for a PRN med surg position that may include some travel..the travel part is my concern..though my requirement is to only work 2 nights a month..I probably will end up doing 6-10 shifts….

My question is…I may have to travel to areas that are an hour away..I spoke to my manager and she said it "Rarely" happens..and so did the scheduler lady...

Do you think getting sent out of town once a month is nothing to fret about? Should i go for it? Or is it not worth it to work about 5 nights a month? That is about $2,000 a month we're talking about….?

What do you all think?
