Hi guys! I bet the RN Loan Forgiveness program has been discussed at length on this board, so forgive me if I'm taking up board space with more about it, and feel free to redirect me if this question has been answered elsewhere.
I will be graduating in 4 (count 'em, FOUR! yay) months, and plan on working right after school for one year before my husband will be restationed with the US Coast Guard. I have been told that the RN Loan Forgiveness program is in effect only if you agree to work for a certain number of years (i.e, more than one), so it wouldn't be an option for me until after we're restationed. Our next station will be a 4-year assignment, so perhaps then I could sign up for it.
My question is this: Do you have to sign up for the program immediately after school, or can you sign up any time? How exactly does the RN Loan Forgiveness program work? Is there a website that I can go to??
