I applied for WIA back in December and never got an update on my application despite me calling. So I decided to stop by the office to find out whats going on and if they were going to assist me in school. They told me that as a single parent that made $13325 last year, that I made "too much" to qualify. The maximum was $10000 for a family of two. And I know students who lied on their applications to get the money, saying they weren't married when they were, with spouses making quite a bit of money way over the limit, etc. I'm sooo annoyed because what I made isn't much at all plus I was honest about my situation. I guess nice guys do finish last.:uhoh21:
