Lots of questions and need advise about becoming a CNa
I love this site it is so great and fantastic, everybody is so nice and sweet, I feel like i can tell you guys anything or ask you any stupid question and not feel dumb. But any way, I already posted a question on another thread but i thought it would be best if i just started all over nice and fresh. I joined this site to get questions answered and lots of advise so here goes. :heartbeat
I want to be a CNA while applying to nursing school and through the nursing program but i dont know the best way to go about doing it,
1)like which programs are best and which ones to STAY AWAY FROM! ? I am considering taking a nursing assistant program online like St Augustine nursing assistant online program. Or would it be best to take this training at a community college or tech career college?
2) are there different kinds of CNA' positions or does all CNA's perform pretty much the same task, if not how do i assure that i am doing the task most desired? eventually i would like to be a nurse midwife, and i am also considering Psychiatrics, so a CNA position close to these fields are more desirable.
3) I hear one way i would have to pay for nursing assistant training and another i can get paid through the nursing assistant program and garanteed a job, how do i get paid or at least which ones are the least expensive?
4) Are the nursing assistant jobs as demanding as the actual RN, are there people that do the training and cant find a job?
I have many more questions than this but we will just start with these 4 for now, and please yall i dont get some of the lingo please be clear.
By the way I am in Nashville Tennessee, How do i find out how much does my location effects me (i guess thats five)
I am anxiuosly waiting for some answers and advise, I love you all
