I take the Lpn critical thinking assessment test on Thursday, the test includes 40 questions 40 minutes to take it, does anyone know what the test consists of? I am nervous because I don't know what the test is about.

Yes it is, I have never heard of it either.

not familiar, but I beleive the content will probably include "what would you do first" type of questions. Always go with the safe thing first.

The critical thinking assessment is only a measure of your ability to think critically. If it's the same as the one I took, it will have absolutely NO NURSING CONTENT in the exam material whatsoever. It will be like, "If building A is this tall and building B is this tall and building C is twice as tall as building B but bulding A is half as tall as building C, what building is the tallest?"

Yes, seriously.

All this test is is a measurement of your ability to think critically about any given situation. It requires no outside information on which to draw from. You will probably take this test again at the end of your program as a means for the program to say, "Look, we're so good at teaching students to think critically because they all score higher on this exam at the end of the program. Yay us!"

Don't be nervous. It's absolutely nothing to be nervous about. I remember being told by our instructors that this was not a nursing exam and to not be nervous. Then, the next quarter, I see the cohort behind me actually studying nursing stuff for this test. I was gobsmacked. There was no nursing stuff on that test. It actually should be mentioned in your program's handbook what it's for and why you're taking it.
