NCLEX PN vs RN: Where they equally difficult for you?

For those who have taken both the NCLEX-PN and the NCLEX-RN in the last few years were they equally difficult for you at the times you took them? When I passed the PN exam I left the testing center feeling very confident and I knew I passed. I'm taking the NCLEX-RN in a few days and I'm so nervous. I just want to pass and I'm super worried about it. So how was it for you?

I'm not sure... I passed my NCLEX-PN in the minimum number of questions and walked out feeling like I completely failed. I'm taking the NCLEX-RN tomorrow and I haven't done much at all to prep so I'm getting a little nervous! Hopefully all goes well... I will keep you posted!

Mine is tomorrow too!! I'm so nervous! I havn't studied much at all until this week. Hopefully it goes well for both of us! I got the minimum on the PN too but I felt good when it was over and knew I passed. I'm just not so sure about this one.

I will put it like this: I had to adapt more on the PN because the questions were specific to a ton of systems and priority; this was the first time thinking like a nurse without the safety net of school. On the RN, I was prepared because I knew how the NCLEX operated; still had to think like a nurse in a different way, however the questions were specific in an expanded practice; application about what to expect and be read to anticipate for the patient through assessment and priority and delegation.

Good Luck!!!

Well I took it today and I came out completely unsure of how I did. It cut off at 77 questions. I felt even worse since I remember how good and confident I felt after the PN exam, but not after this one. I did the PVT and got the good pop up. :-)
