licensed Rn graduated from philippines

Hello to all fellow California Nurses and/or future nurses,

My wife is a graduate from Manila doctors college and would like to take her Nclex. Since I'll be the one helping her with the paperwork, Has any one received their ATT yet? I've been researching online and hearing many were rejected/did not meet CA BORN requirements. I think it is a case by case scenario. Any information on the subject matter would greatly be appreciated, otherwise i'll be spending $200 or so on this ...hmmmp...

sincerely,

murse

Suggest a good read as although case by case we have seen more not get approved than get approved with CA stating to many that courses have to be done before approval given. When did she graduate and are her cases current to theory?

Well, at least you know that if the application is not approved for whatever reason, the monies sent in is not refundable once the package is opened and processed. You guys just need to take those chances and have a back up plan if it's declined.

Endorsing any out of state license back into CA will not work either, as the same CA BRN requirements causing the rejection will need to still be addressed (usually completing the deficient courses of which there are many threads already fully discussed on where, who, how etc.

Yes, truly a case-by-case basis, just know that only a handful have been approved in CA since Nov. 2011 without having to find the near impossible to get into deficient courses.
