I hate pharmacology

Nothing like being in the last 5 week rotation of nursing school and not doing well on the ATI predictor. And then not getting a level 2 on pharmacology. Talk about discouragement!! I have done well since day 1 - I'm pretty much a B student. But to be ALMOST at the end and then start going downhill...I wanna vomit.

I get solid low 90's on just about everything (B+) and have been on a steep senior slide right about now... hopefully you can pull it together to pass and then kick butt on the NCLEX :)

Pharmacology is like learning another language -FAST. The only way it will make sense is to practice it over and over. We had a nurse a few years ago who did not know the difference between Novolin N and Novolog. She gave the patient a large dose of Novolog and the patient coded (survived). That is why pharm is so important. I recommend you talk it out with classmates as it is mostly memory work until you realize that drugs affect either the sympathetic or parasympathetic systems
