Binghamton BAT Program Hopefuls 2014-2015!

Hi there! Trying to find my fellow Binghamton BAT Program hopefuls for the May 2014-May 2015 class!

I just submitted my Common App today, did other people use the Common App? I was considering going the SUNY App route because of the glitches it's having, but ultimately decided CA was better considering it gives you a space for activities and writing!

Also, I'm missing Anatomy & Phys I and II as well as Microbiology on my transcript, as I'm taking Anatomy & Phys I this semester and Anatomy & Phys II/ Micro next semester because I heard they are very useful to have fresh in your memory! Do you think this will hurt me?

Also, any 2013-2014 BATs that would like to share their experience, please do!!

I am a 2014 Hopeful as well. I used the suny application. You have 3 more pre-reqs to take I don't feel that will hurt you. At least you will be able to submit your A&P I grade.

Hi! I'm currently in the BAT program and I just wanted to say that I'm really enjoying it! It's lots of work, but very do-able. You will not be hurt at all with some pre-reqs left to finish. That's very common and not a problem. Just work hard and get good grades! Our class has lawyers, PhDs, several people with their master's, etc. Quite a mix! (There are also many students who just finished their first bachelor's last year or a few years ago, so it's not like everyone has an advanced degree.) It's a great program, though, and we are learning a ton. Good luck!

hey I applied to BAT program too for 2014 year. Does anyone know when we'll be hearing back about decisions?

Hi yz9550 I received an email that I was accepted mid December, they said I should be receiving the official letter soon? However I haven't received anything official yet, so I am not really sure. Let me know if you hear anything!

Moved to the New York Nursing forum.

Hey i just replied to your stony brook comment at the stony brook forum haha. But congrats again! May I ask when you applied? I applied Nov 15th and I'm just hoping letters are going out in order somewhat...

I'm pretty sure I applied on November 14th, I might call the school today and see what they say? Only because it has been almost a month since I received the original email. I will certainly let you know what they say!

I received my acceptance via email on Jan 10. In reviewing previous BAT program topics and talking with former BAT students, between Jan-Feb many will receive notifications. Hope that helps! Good luck!

That's so great you've heard back! I just keep waiting so I can look at what schools accept me and make my decision! This would be my top choice though so we will see!

LB,

hopefully you don't have to wait to long. I wish you luck. What other schools did you apply to?

I did my undergrad in Pennsylvania, so I applied to schools like Drexel (accepted), Villanova (not accepted), Edinboro (accepted) and ashland in Ohio (accepted) and not accepted to SBU. I'm waiting to hear back from bing and Salisbury.

but thanks! I hope I don't have to either, looking at old posts it looks like if you don't get notified by valentines day you're on the waiting list and then if not by the first week of march you are declined.

Hey all! I spoke with an admissions counselor today and she informed me that I've been placed on the waitlist...better than rejection I suppose!
