Finally, start new job as RN tomorrow

I graduated in Dec 2012 and passed NCLEX in Feb. I scored my first interview and landed a part time RN job in March in a skilled nursing facility. I passed the lifting test, drug screening but got stuck on the fingerprint for background check. I have light prints, and I always have to go back to do a second set because of the poor quality. When they rejected second set, they do name search with FBI instead, and it's a snail process. Today, I call HR to followup my background check status, and she said that since they have to hire me within 30 days from the offer, they might not be able to employ me at this time. I was shocked and told her that it's not my fault that background check took so long, and she said that she is going to call the corporate office to see what they can do. 15 minutes later, nurse manager called back and told me to attend orientation tomorrow. They re-processed my application and want me to start as soon as possible. I was working as waitress while waiting to begin this new job, and I have to find someone to fill in for me in such a short notice. If you are in similar situation, always to follow up just to make sure you are still in the game. Good luck to you all.
