I have heard much about the extra knowledge that ENPC provides above and beyond PALS. And although I am scheduled for TNCC through the hospital I have also heard such good things about ATCN and we do get a large number of traumas. So I am going to take both of those.

Do you see a need for a Neonatal Resuscitation Program course? Not many outside of NICU that I have talked to have taken it or even heard of it. ::Knock on Wood:: I have not had a critical neonate. Do you think ENPC will be sufficient or have many of you taken NRP? I don't work the Peds side often just want to be prepared should they be full and a I get one in my pod...

And while I mention ATCN, I gotta admit it has me a little intimidated... I have trauma experience both in hospital and pre hospital but have not taken TNCC and am just worried about not passing the written after hearing all the ATLS hype. And since I am paying out of pocket...

TNCC and ATCN are both great and I learned a lot in both! Not sure if one is harder than the other, but you should prob take TNCC first IMO. I take NRP next month for the first time so I can't personally say whether it's helpful, but I know some ER nurses who have taken it and seem to think it's very useful!
