I have a patient who came in a few weeks post op a cervical cancer surgery. The abd incision has discharge and is painful for the patient. The wound is also positive for MRSA. I am not sure what to put for my Nursing Diagnosis as the patient is no longer "Infection, risk for" but the infection of MRSA does involve a wound and her skin...so maybe "Tissue integrity, impaired"? I looked up "Contamination" but it seems to be strictly related to environment factors/contaminants. Thanks for any tips in advance!
