Advice on moving to Amarillo

Hello:

I'm am moving to Amarillo at the end of January,

and I'm probably not going to have an opportunity to visit the area before I move.

Can anyone recommend a nice and safe place to live?

& to and what places to avoid. I plan to rent, I will

be working at the Pavilion and was hoping to find an apartment close

to the hospital area. All advice is greatly appreciated.

Welcome to Amarillo!! There are several new apartment complexes around the medical district. The medical district is on the NW side of town. The North side and East side of Amarillo are the older parts of town. Amarillo's "newer" areas would be South and West side. I would stay west of Western Street (or even safer would be west of Bell Street) and South of Amarillo Blvd. I will be working in the same building as you are. I work at Odyssey Hospice which is a floor down from the Pavillion. Stop in and say "hi" - I'm Sara (the nurse, we have a Sara Social Worker too). Best of luck with your move and new job! :spnngwlcm:

Sara, thank you so, so much for the information, I will start looking today. My start date is jan. 31, and I can't wait. Can you tell me anything about the hospital?, Do the nurses like working there?, I tried looking online for more information, but other than their webpage, there doesn't seem to be much.
