Hi, I know there is a PF thread already but it's old and I thought I'd start a new one here. I just interviewed yesterday and all looks promising. I just wondered what others' experience have been like. The good the bad and the ugly? Thanks

That's a good question! I'm interested in the responses too. Does work there can't as acute experience?

Interviewer said they would ACLS certify me. Have never been certified as that. What is that training like as well? Anything I can do to prep for that?

Excuse my ignorance but what do you mean by patient first? Do you mean what is it like interviewing a patient for the first time? or is patient first a place of employment like a clinic?

Patient First is a chain of walk in clinics. Down south we called them "doc in the boxes" lol. I actually have them as my primary care provider, because they are open 7 days a week from about 8 am to 9 pm. No appointment is neccessary.

ACLS is just advanced CPR. You'll like it, they keep at it until you pass. Not super high stress but the first time you have to study. You'll be qualified to run a code when you complete the course. I would never have felt comfortable doing that the first time I took it, but around the 4th or 5th with experience on the unit....got to be yawn...
