Just wondering if anyone has used and recommend these audio tapes. I have taken many of the tests and passed them without the audio but as I do a lot of driving for my job, I just wondered if I could utilize that time better.

Thoughts?

I have all of Chancellors materials with nursing. I used them in the beginning but I can't stand listening to the monotone voice. I also live 5 miles away from my job.I think that's a personal choice. The audio just reads what the studyguide says. I retain better with notetaking and reading better than listening(especially with major flat voice). If I was on the road more I would have to use it though if that was the only I'd be able to study. If its working fine without, I would not bother.

i went directly though excelsior college, and i agree studying and taking notes is very critical to passing- its the main stay of my study skills. i just wondered with as much time as i am driving would it be of benefit to at least give it a try? i also wonder if there is any way to get your hands on a copy of the tapes without going through chancellor?

I had no idea when I started this you can go through Excelsior first. I signed up with Chancellors, then figured out how EC worked. Many people go on ebay for the CD's.

I got the study guides and printed material from Ebay but I cant find anyone with the audio!

Im just hoping someone on here see this and lets me buy the tapes from them!!

I bought Chancellor's guides on eBay, but that was in 2007. The newer versions have CDs, not cassettes. I had an hour commute each way to my ER, so I used my drive time to study. The voice is a bit monotone and he cannot pronounce "meatus" or "larynx" properly, but I liked them. I'd check eBay if I were you. I did what Lunah did as well when i was working an hour away, pop it in and listen, i used to think i didnt retain anything from it, but actually it helps either clarify what i had read or if i listened to it before reading, then when i read the material after listening it made more sense too. I also used vangonotes for both A&P and Micro on Itunes and would pop my ipod on while i cleaned house or folded clothes, it still amazes me how WELL i did on those exams versus others and i think it was honestly due to the audio lessons...i have been known to lay down and turn it on and listen to it before going to sleep...i wonder if some sunk in while i was sleeping too :) LOL i guess to each their own, it just depends on if you LIKE audio, i learn more listening/reading and taking my own notes than I did by getting SG101 or Lisa Araends notes off of ebay!

Hi, I am using audio tapes as well as reading the studyguides. I am not the best at comprehending. I do better with audio. Its almost like being in a class and hearing the lectures. I am looking for moe of them as well. If anyone hears where they are, I would appreciate a heads up.:) Looked on ebay. Good luck to all who are studying.:)
