I just registered for classes! Getting excited! Where are all the others out there starting in Oct.?

Hi forensicmi. I think we may be the only Oct. Starts! LOL. I'm all registered, but have nothing yet done. (Titers,etc.) How about you?

I think so, jlmcla. I'm waiting to get the medical paperwork in the mail, before I get all the medical stuff done. I've got a couple supplies. I am registered from all my classes as well.

No I didn't get anything yet. I finally got my financial aid loan on Fri. I was sweating that one! Today I'm off to sign the papers, I might call the bookstore too. They didn't have any of the books yet last week. I"ll check into that.

P.S. I did get the physical form from the nursing office because I had an appointment with my doctor, it was only a pretty basic form, it did list all the titers and shots needed, not much more. I did not get anything for shots done in the office because it would have been about $800 out of pocket! I think I'll do titers at Concentra and shots at the health dept. I would like to see some paperwork come first though!

Jessica, did you get more than what classes cost, if you don't mind me asking? My loan was for like 1300 but it barely covered the classes. Now, nothing left for books.

No it looks like I was approved for $1750, but because I'll only have 6 credits for the fall I only get $1000. Sucks big time! Personally, I feel I get very little help at financial aid. I was told to look elsewhere if I need more. Since books alone are over $700 and my classes come to $730, I'll have to pay the difference. I"m happy to get any help, but it's really making our family budget tight!
