Help with classes and what to look for?

This semester in nursing school, I am taking mental health, med-surg, reasearch, and aging population. My grades this semester, have not been the greatness. Anyways, I'm passing mental health-the lecture, research, med-surg-the clinical, and aging population. However, I am not passing mental health-the clinical and the med-surg-the lecture. Also, I am struggling with the just grasping the concept of both classes.

Is there any advice or ways that, not only can I improve my grades, but improve my self-esteem?

thanks

regarding your self-esteem, you are taking alot of classes, that has to be challenging in and of itself! so dont beat yourself up...in terms of your med surge lecture, are you recording the class? often that will help, if you miss something while trying to take notes...and you can listen to your recorder during all your free time...when reading your text, do you answer all the end of chapter questions? that also helps...AND does your school use the evolve system...also very helpful!

in terms of mental clinical, just keep practicing your skills...i practice my skills on hubby/kids..when they had enough i used a teddy bear...yes i did...lol...good luck and keep on trying!

1. I know alot of classes

2. My college of nursing will not allow recording.

3. I answer all of the chapter questions.

4. I use evolve.

5. thanks for the advice on mental health.

My only problem is that I do not want to become a failure at the end of the semester.

thanks
