I'm about to finish of applying to five different nursing schools in GA:
Georgia State University
Georgia College and State University
Georgia Southwestern State University
Kennesaw State University
Georgia Baptist Nursing School (a part of Mercer University)
I've been reading and researching like crazy about the different nursing programs and what it takes to get into nursing schools. All it's lead me to was a mass discouragement and wanting to give up on the whole idea of even applying.
My gpa is a 3.02, my prerequisites are mostly Bs with at least one A and C. I haven't taken my TEAS just yet, and the way i'm feeling right now, i'm not sure how it's going to go.
I will have a bachelor's in psych in a couple of months, i have a truckload of research experience and volunteer hours (but most of those hours do not have anything to do with healthcare). I've shadowed nurses a couple of times, so i know this is what i want to do.
I really need some encouragement, or a reality check...
Has anyone got into any of these BSN progrms with a similar gpa? Does anyone have any ideas of how i can still someway miraculously get into a program? How was the TEAS and how hard did you have to study to get the score you did?
Thanks for helping, i need as much information as possible...
