New grad opportunites in sf

I will be graduating in May 2010 and am planning to relocate to San Francisco. My sister already lives there, so I have housing figured out. I'm finding it difficult to find information on new graduate programs at any of the area hospitals. Would it be best to call the hospitals to find out? I don't want to miss out on important application deadlines. I am planning on visiting SF the first week in May, any advice on setting up appointments would be greatly appreciated. Basically I'm just curious if the job market is still as bad for new graduate nurses as it has been in the past, specifically in SF.

Any help would be great!!

Most hospitals here are on a hiring freeze. If you go directly to hospital websites, you can usually set up job agent alerts that will email you immediately when a new grad program is posted on the site. But things are VERY bad here now for new grads. Try to find something anywhere you can.

Things are definitely bad here in the Bay Area. I've applied to every single hospital in the SF bay area ( and throughout the entire state), and have gotten rejections. If you are able to, you should definitely try looking elsewhere.
