BAY Area College of Nursing

Can anyone give me any information on the Bay Area College of Nursing. They have given me some information that seems less than truthful. I don't want to get scammed. I am looking into the san jose campus, which does not appear on the accredited list like their palo alto, ca and daly city campuses. they tell me the accredidation falls under the "umbrella" of the palo alto campus.

Also the "pass rates" for certification are a dismal 38%. I don't have a lot of options in my area (santa cruz, ca) and would appreciate any information about this school in particular. I have also checked out Western Career and Saint Francis (both in San Jose)

Thank you

Cid Herman

Try gurnick academy of medical arts in SAN MATEO.

I have never heard of Bay Area College of Nursing! I would try a jc or go the private college way. I have heard wonderful things though about St. Francis in San Francisco and San Jose. I hope that you figure out what to do as a 38% pass rate and no accrediation sounds like a big scam to me. Also call the State Board and see if they can give you some suggestions of schools or even look at thier website of the list of accredited schools in your area.
