At the beginning of the semester I had the full intention to become a nurse. However, I realized throughout my A&P class that I'm pretty good at learning about the body as well as crave more than what the class teaches. So far I have a 97% in the class and the lab experience I have had has really made me curious about a field that is more research orientated than actual 1 on 1 patient care. I like the idea of being a nurse but I'm wondering if there are fields out there that nurses participate in strictly the research and not so much the bed side patient care. So now I'm wondering if I should drop the nursing path and work towards a biology or microbiology degree because I'm really into research. Anybody heard of research nurses or anything of that nature? THANKS!
