I recently failed the NCLEX in July and am scheduled to retake it AUG 18....all i have been seeing is people who passed on their 3rd or 4th time and I'm starting to get discouraged.....i would love some words of encouragment from people in the same boat as me or people who have passed on the second time in the past! I am trying to get my nerves under control and prepare myself mentally because that was the problem last time....THANKS!

Do not give up, I failed too on my first attempt, and as much as it is costly, still its work spending money for.

Use the Lippincott NCLEX RN 3500 reviewer software. Choose clients needs categories, as you can see on the back of your performance report, the content area is the same as the software reviewer.

People pass on second attempt as they do on 4th attempt. Study well and make sure you understand the rationale to the questions especially the ones you get wrong

i failed the test the first time and before i took the test i told everyone i had it in the bag. then i failed lol i took it the 2nd time and kept it all to my slef and passed. I think it was the shock of the test i didnt expect the question to be like that, i was thinking it was just like nursing school exams. so I studied studied studied and didnt boast (lol) and I passed!!! Im sure you will to.

Thank you all for the reasurring words, I wish and pray I will pass too on my 2nd attempt.

Its my ticket to finally help my mom, bros and sis, and my own family too, to a better life.

hey my friend, i've already told my story on other thread but here goes...i've just took CA nclex-rn this july 30[2nd time], and left the test center with confidence i did it this time[i've finish @ 75 with only 1computation that u wont need a calcu, 3-5 SATA, 1drag&drop,5-7meds and the rest is all the other client need category for which all i think i answer them all/majority correctly]. i too felt so discourage after my 1st attempt bcoz the exam[bombed @#156] was really hard that i dont know where to get the answers, ive also felt to myself that i wont be able/future pass this exam bcoz its so enormously hard. anyway, this time around i've work hard [i even had work the actual day and b4 the exam which is funny] and got all the support around me unlike my 1st one that i took secretly[told them i'm still preparing but in reality im already sched for exam] anyway, just stay positive and study hard [try reviewing pathophysio book again, just a quicky] and u'll do fine :wink2:

I failed the nclex in 2005. It was such a blow to me that only now(end of August) will I attempt it for the second time--almost exactly 3yrs later. I currently work as a RN in Canada and want to work in the U.S. I totally was not prepared for the whole nclex thing in the US--the only thing I knew was that it was done on a computer--exam so different from CNATS. I think controlling my anxiety during the exam may be an issue for me--I had a hard time dealing with my first FAIL. I have been using kaplan, kaplan q-bank and saunders. Hi, nid ur help..i failled the first time i tuk d nclex..the comp. stopped at 86, my last ? is about the automated alarm...asking for special nursing consifderationn.I have a strong feeling of failing..because they told me that if u ended answering this kind of ? wehich is not related to med surg..psych..or any hard ?s u will fail..and yeah ryt..I failed!!!haha,,but i retuk the exam last wk..i have had 265 ?s..haha..but it feels better..at least i reached the max insteda of just ans. min. ?s...ending again on automated alarm..haha..on my 263 ? I have SATA..last ? about domestic violence...waahhhh wat do u think...hahhaa..I answered something about assisting in making escape plan...was this another easy ? or ..waahhh..I read in the book it's in the psych topic..wahhhh...nobody can predict...nothing's sure I know...I really hope I can pass this tym.....help me LOrd....I really ni this badly

Best thing to do is get your results. I find it very hard to read what you have typed, makes it much easier if people post fully as when completing documentation you can only use hospital recognised abbreviations, but gather you went to max questions and haven't received your results yet. It doesn't matter if you get last question wrong
