I was wondering if anyone from Oklahoma is on this board, and if so, where you attend nursing school.

I'm from OK, but did nursing school in Kansas. I work at OU now. :) Good to have another Okie on board!

I went to nusing school in OK. Live and work in OK. Not orginially from here but I'm an Okie now! Glad you are here. There are a few more on the board, also.

Howdy neighbor not a student and not an Okie, but thought I would say hello from Texas, nice to know ya!

I live in OKC and go to OKCCC, I'm in my second semester. I haven't been on the boards in a loooong time, so nice to see everyone again.

Not IN OK... But I am sure am pretty darn close.. :)

How do you like OkCCC? I'm attending rose state right now, and I'm STILL trying to decide where I'll attend nursing school. It's a toss up between OSU-OKC, Rose State, or OKCCC. Let me know how hard it is! Good to see another okie on board!

I am enrolled at Rose State as well, doing my pre-reqs for Nursing. This semester I am taking Anatomy and Lab, Algebra, Devel Psych and Art Appreciation. I go to classes twice a week and 2 are online classes.

I have been "planning" to go to OU Nusing school but then someone the other night was telling me about OSU-OKC and I could do that in 3 semesters. Are you planning on getting your BSN or ADN?

I know the OU Nursing school is really good. I dont know enought about any of the others though to compare. What all do you know about OSU OKC?

I want my BSN but I'm not sure which to do first. I'm torn between the ADN and the BSN.

I've heard really good things about OSU-OKC. They mailed info to me about their nursing program, and it's a bit tougher than Rose States' program.

I too am taking 2 online courses and going to school twice a week. Right now I'm taking Engl Comp I at rose state on Mon. and Wen. and intro to psych w/ Professor King and US history since 1877. I'm planning on taking 9 hours again this summer. I just haven't decided which classes just yet.

My youngest daughter was born in Oklahoma, while we lived in Texas, a doctor had come highly recommended to us, and we were sure glad we traveled there to have her, he turned out to not be such a good dr. but was married to a cousin of my husband's and we had never met him, he did the funniest thing when we were going to him for our check-ups, told us to make sure and bring a sandwich bag of dirt with us when it was "time", well when I was on the birthing table and started to push, he said "where's that bag of dirt?" (asking my husband *ex now*) well he gave him the bag of dirt and the dr. spread the dirt under my birthing table and said "well she might have been born in Oklahoma but at least she was born over Texas soil."

One of my friends has taught at several different nursing schools here. OBU has the best pass rate for the NCLEX (Rose is a close second). OSU OKC has the lowest (they've recently changed their program and I guess they haven't found their feet yet). OU is not bad, it's somewhere in the middle.
