Sunrise Children's Hosptial

I'm currently a nursing student in Buffalo, NY and I plan on venturing back out to Vegas shortly after my boards. (I'm a grad of UNLV in another field). I would like to jump right into Peds right away because I will be going on for my PNP, will I be able to get a job right away at Children's or do I have to jump through some hoops first? Any help would be great thanks!

Call and speak to the nursing recruiter at Sunrise. Sunrise is one of the best paying hospitals in Las Vegas, but on the flip side, it tends to have a horrible nurse:patient staffing ratio, but I have heard a lot of great things. I'm pretty sure that their Childrens Hospital is pretty well staffed, and in fact isn't readily recruiting new nurses. However, perhaps you could get into one of the other departments that is readily hiring and work for a few months and then request a transfer.
