Nursing is the only thing that I love to do. I was falsely accused of patient miscondut by a wicked supervisor (she and I never got along) and my license was taken away. I went to lawyers and they told me to just leave it alone. I have been working at dead end jobs and I don't know what to do. This incident took place about 4 yrs ago. I would like to ask anyone who may know and where to direct me to go on how to look about reinstating my papers. No patient misconduct was ever proven and I have never had any diciplinary complaints. How can I fight this and get my life back? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

You can contact the BON in the state you had your license. If it is possible to reinstate your license they would be the ones to say so.

As stated above, the BON in your state is the only one that can help you. They also make the final decision on whether or not to reinstate your license. Your best bet is to establish contact with them.

How could they take your license away without "proving" the charge of which you were accused? Surely you were entitled to a hearing?

As others have said, this is a matter for the BON and the lawyers. It's a legal battle and you have to deal with it as such. I also wonder how you lost your license if nothing was ever proved ...

If the discussions with the BON and your lawyer goes nowhere, then you are just going to have to do your grieving and move on. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and find another career that will satisfy your needs. People do that all the time. Spending the rest of your life stewing about it will get you nowhere.
