I will graduate from my FNP program soon and may have 2 different offers, one in primary care and the other in peds primary care. I tend to like the peds one since the Doctor I am with is nice and the commute is not that bad.

My background is more on adults so it seems the primary care job is a better fit and may offer more potential growth after I have more experiences. The peds offer is a little lower but the workload is lighter, stress level is lower.

My concern is can I still get back to adult world or even some specialty in the future? Any FNP work in peds,what are the career future for that ? Thanks.

You think screaming loud babies who you're trying to auscultate and perform an otoscopic exam on are less stress? Parents hellbent on receiving antibiotics and Vyvanse but not vaccinations?

I'd go with the best lifestyle choice - low stress, no call, close, competitive wages, ergonomic, employee-centric, etc. If you want to hustle and earn some extra cash you can moonlight when and where you want. I moonlight a job I don't like, but it's a thousand dollars for a day (1-2 days/mo) so I suck it up.
